Shimla and Fagu Workcation Notes
Notes from my workcation in Shimla, Fagu, and Kufri.
Trip Dates: Feb 20 - Feb 27, 2022
Trip Overview
Stayed in Shimla for one night and then moved to Fagu (near Kufri) for a workcation.
Day 1 (Feb 20): Arrival in Shimla
- Traveled overnight from Jaipur.
- Boarded a bus in the morning from Delhi and reached Shimla around 4 PM.
- Shimla was unexpectedly very cold compared to what I had prepared for.
Day 2 (Feb 21): Move to Fagu
- Friends arrived by their own self-driven car.
- Moved to Fagu. Encountered visible snow there already.
- Since it was a workcation, we started going for small hikes in the evenings.
Day 3 (Feb 22): Workcation Routine
- Same itinerary: morning walks and evening walks.
- The day was bright, but all the nearby villages were completely snow-covered.
Day 4 (Feb 23): Local Hikes
- Continued the workcation routine with morning walks and evening treks.
- Enjoyed local hikes, catching beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
Day 5 (Feb 24): Narkanda and Snowfall Adventure
- Went to Narkanda.
- On the return journey, encountered heavy snowfall.
- Had to leave our car near Theog and walk back. It was a very thrilling and adventurous journey.
Day 6 (Feb 25): Snowy Trek to Kufri
- Trekked to Kufri from the backside.
- It was a snowy trek for about 2-3 hours with absolutely gem of views, and we had the trail all to ourselves.
- Upon reaching Kufri, it was the usual crowded scene, making our secluded hike the highlight of the day.
Day 7 (Feb 26): Return Journey Begins
- Left the mountains and went back to Delhi.
- Stayed the night in Noida.
Day 8 (Feb 27): Back Home
- Traveled from Noida back to Jaipur.
